Early Childhood Language
Children develop enormously in their language skills during the first 5 years of life! If you are concerned that your child is lagging behind in early language development, the following may be some things she’s having trouble with:
-
vocabulary development
-
using words or sentences to ask for what he wants
-
answering questions
-
retelling a short sequence of events
-
following directions
-
socializing with peers.
We will complete a thorough evaluation of your child’s comprehension and use of language. A written report with an individualized treatment plan will be provided to you. Speech therapy sessions range in length from 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour and in frequency from once a week to three times a week. They may be conducted either in person or via teletherapy.
