Stuttering/Fluency
Is your child struggling to “get her words out?” Does she tense up when speaking or avoid certain speaking situations?
If you are concerned that your child stutters, we will conduct a thorough evaluation of your child's speech. A written report with an individualized treatment plan will be provided to you. Different methods of treatment, such as the Lidcombe Program Treatment for Stuttering, are selected based on your child’s age, severity of stuttering, and you and your child’s schedule availability for treatment. Speech therapy sessions may be 1 hour or 45 minutes once a week, or 30 minutes twice a week, in person or via teletherapy, and gradually reduced in frequency and/or length of session as your child progresses.
